Steatite bidr pipefor your consideration, we are very pleased to offer you this incredible consignment item that is being sold out of a collection of native americana pieces. hTis black stone pipe (that we believe to be steatite) 7 long, 2 1/2 tall to the very top, top is 1, and the pipe is 1 5/8 wide. hTe holes are roughly hewn. We cannot date the pipe.

We only know that it was handcarved, very attractive, and exceptionally preserved. Notice the detail alogn the bird's wings and underneath where his feet are. If you are viewing this listing, i'm sure that you will know much more about this fabulous piece than we do.

What i've tried to do is picture the pipe in a variety of ways so htat you can see it in its every detail. Please ask any questions you need answered before bidding.

Our consignor does not know the direct line, historically speaking. He purchased this item from a young lady who sold off her grandfather's estate some yeras ago. His collection (the grandfather's) covered artifacts collected from the southwest to the midwest.

He had na issue with the authenticity and my guarantee of it.
